montage thoughts/ ideas

 Possible montage dates

  • Dinner at restaurant/ fast food place

  • Picnic

  • Out in London at night

You need to make sure there is a difference between the start and end of the montage to show the journey the characters have undergone

Consider camera movements if you want it to flow together. You could have the camera always moving for something intense and fast pace, or you could use still shots for a more beautiful window into someones life

Things to include in montage

  •

Them in carpark at Cineworld talking

  • Them on a date in a restaurant or fast food place

NEEDS TO SHOW HOW COMPATABLE THEY ARE

  • Walking through London at night holding hands and looking through shop windows

  •

A second shot of them eating burgers or chips or something at covent garden later that night

  • Another shot of them later sharing their first kiss having finished eating  OR PICNIC

  •

Shot of lead 2 ringing  the door bell and handing lead 1 a flower (cringe?) and walks inside

  •

Shot of them eating with their family (step forward in their relationship)

  • Shot of them smiling/ kissing while clearing up

  •

Scene of them in bed together with candles – not a gratuitous sex scene tho. It just shows a step forward in the relationship

  • Shot of lead 1 bringing lead 2 tea in bed the next morning

Between each day in the montage you could use graphics to show time passing – calendar moving?

Or use fades between each day to be less obvious

Or use a shot of b roll with the month it is – flowers in April etc?

Or you could use hair cuts to show time passing – girl has shorter hair etc

CHANGE IN MUSIC

Change in saturation?

  • Them fighting on the street, shouting at eachother

  • Lead 1 is crying and sits down on the side of the road while lead 2 walks off

  • Blue unsaturated look at lead 1 cries in her room on her bed

  • We see her putting on makeup

  • Shot of her on the train alone looking sad

End of montage

Car park may be too echoey - I think no

Alternative idea:

  • Restaurant scene first date  JAN

  • Kiss on the way home

  • Birthday picnic  APR

FINAL PLAN

  • First date and kiss

  • Meeting  families

  • Going to bed

  • Dancing in low light (fade into the argument with them standing in the same place in the frame?)

  • Arguing on the street in the rain

  • Her crying alone in her room – soft natural lighting, high angle

  • Her on the street smoking, picking her nails etc. MAKE THIS NOT TOO CLICHE OR 'EDGY'

  • Her on the train
