Methods of presenting work  

In the past, I've presented digitally, orally and on paper. My preference is orally as I find it easier to engage with my audience and express my points. However, with my short film research and planning, that is not an option and so, I am excited to present my work online as a good way of displaying the work I've done is through blog format. It also allows me to attach my film, as well as allowing anyone to access it who may need to. My notes being online makes it more helpful for me to move them or copy them for different aspects of work. I find it more convenient than a paper copy as that is harder to edit notes on as well as to share with people. 

 The pros and cons of presenting my work digitally or physically:

  • -  It's easy to edit, add to and change notes, unlike paper.  

  • - You can easily include pictures.

  • - Anyone can access what you have created.

  • - It can be saved onto a computer, meaning it's difficult to loose.  

  • - The notes will be on your computer meaning you can easily copy and paste helpful notes you may have made.

  • - You can include links and clips that can take you to other sites with more ease than paper would have.  

  • - You can include videos with the rest of your information, which is very important when making a short film.  

  

 

  • - It is harder to draw or sketch on.  

  • - When using the internet, there are safeguarding issues. 

  • - Anyone from the public can access your work.  

  • - You could be hacked, or have a virus, deleting all of your work.  

  • - It requires technological skills which not everyone may have. 

  • - You may have less control over the format, when following a template or program.

  • - You can sketch or draw with ease.  

  • - You have total control over the format.  

  • - Your work is more safe and protected when not online.

  • - You can't include videos, which are vital for a short film blog.  

  • - You can't include links that can be accessed as easily.  

  • - Multiple people cannot access the work simultaneously.  

  • - It is harder to access than something online would be.  

  • - It takes longer to copy out other notes you have in other locations.
